Elementary Education program curriculum

You’ll complete 44 credit hours to earn your Master of Arts in Teaching with an Emphasis in Elementary Education. This includes 30 credit hours of coursework and 14 credit hours of field experiences. If you plan to pursue initial teaching certification in Missouri, additional coursework is required.

Additional Certification Requirements

The following courses are required to complete the requirements for Missouri initial teacher certification in Elementary Education (Grades 1–6).

  • Content courses in Science, Math, and Social Science as determined in consultation with your advisor
